Nice small grocery store. Catch most items on sale and the price is the same or less than Walmart. The meats are better than Walmart.
O would day, just as an example... I was on my way in to get some more rubber gloves, laxatives, vasiline, 2 cases of beer and I think I needed brownie mix too, anyway as I walked in the manager saw it was me coming in and apparently looking a bit depressed. So, as I walked past the check out Lane he had been working from he jumped across the little conveyor belt thing and as he landed on my back, slit my throat...we both laughed hysterically while the onlookers stood and looked on, some gasped in disbelief while others actually swooned and fainted. It's just one of billions of reasons I would give my very soul for the place.
I ABSOLUTELY LOOOVE this IGA! No, it's not because it's thee only actual grocery store in the village. This is genuinely a super freaking duper Über awesome opossum- mega fantastic grocery store!
I actually do most of my shopping here, but I don't know why. Their produce section, if you can call it that, is at best, small. Everything I bring home "fresh" rots within days. IGA branded bread (at least from this store) molds sitting next to a loaf purchased at the same time but from a different baker (same store though). Most of the other food is just expensive. Lately I've been getting ill from eating stuff out of the deli display case.
great hometown store. clean and tidy with good item selection. I left my cell phone in cart and in 2 mins time they already had it stored safely behind counter. great place!
Easy to get through. Good variety, great deli, produce and meat departments. Nice people.
